Sorry to hear that.... Never say never. ..... Who's to say you won't get another chance to meet Nic and your kids could be extras or something in another movie down the road, down the line.. We could have a fancy party in Hollywood just for the hell of it  for all the fans here to get to know each other and  and who's to say he wouldn't show up... And then you could introduce yourself and he would be so impressed that when you mentoined the fact that you  have these kids of yours who love him too, He would tell you  to bring your kids and where to show up...or something...  I've seen stuff like that happen.....

Yes, Caged!  I've seen The Weatherman.  It was filmed in my city.  At the time of filming I was talking with the casting director to see if my kids could be background actors because my family has taken Archery lessons together.  It might have happened at the time (who really knows?) but my dying mother took a severe turn for the worse right about then and I didn't think it would be fair to not fully commit.  Family always comes first, ya know?   That was my last chance at perhaps meeting 'the man' and my kids likely only chance at being in a movie.

:(         That's life....

Very cook Corelli!  John Hurt is a wonderful actor.  He's spot on in every role he takes and seems that he'd be an interesting person to have a conversation with.

Ah!  Captain Corelli's Mandolin!  For a war flick, it had such romance in it.   I love the quote you mentioned...

"When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the desire to mate every second of the day. It is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every part of your body. No... don't blush. I am telling you some truths. For that is just being in love; which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over, when being in love has burned away. Doesn't sound very exciting, does it? But it is!"

And also, the truth spoken when Antonio says to Pelagia "It was not my right to make you fall in love with me" (paraphrasing here).

Yet, Antonio came back to her and we can only assume they lived happily ever after.....

BELLA BAMBINA.....two o'clock!   :)

Bella...I've met John Hurt twice - the actor who plays Penelope Cruz's (Pelagia) father in CCM.

I told him I was a fan of Nic's and loved CCM and he told me Nic was ''a great actor and a great guy''!

NICe to hear that from someone who's actually worked with Nicky.

Bella, Thanks for your help in posting that conversation in the movie.... It was soooo romantic.

Have you seen the Weatherman? I  really love this movie too. ANd it is funny. When people just continually throw snow cones and just all the different  stuff at him . He was such a good father too in this one.. I loved that. His relationship with his daughter and his teenage son who are both at such a vulnerable age.... One of my favorites, to be sure.....

Oh.....and the acting honorably bit......Tis truth in that statement, yet sometimes I think honor is over-rated especially when it leaves horrific pain in it's wake.
