Wonderful Description of the movie

I found this blurb/blog this morning while doing my morning search for Nic news for the group.  I thought I'd share it with ya's since it really did say it all about the movie THE FAMILY MAN.

The Family Man ~ In the tradition of the best films that Hollywood ever had to offer comes this refreshingly honest movie that isn't afraid to say that you don't have to be rich, hip and cynical to be successful and happy with your life. "The Family Man,"  stars Nicolas Cage as Jack Campbell, a man who took the "road less traveled," and turned his back on love for a career on Wall Street, and thirteen years later still doesn't realize how empty and shallow his life has become. Then something happens; on Christmas Eve, Jack does a good turn to the right person at the right time. His name is Cash , and he just happens to be a guy with.....well.....connections. The next thing Jack knows, he's getting a "glimpse" of what his life would have been had he made a different choice all those many years ago. When he wakes up on Christmas morning, he's not in his bed in his penthouse apartment, but in a house in the suburbs, sleeping next to Kate Reynolds, the woman he once loved, but abandoned. Wall Street is history; he's now a crackerjack tire salesman at "Big Ed's," and he and Kate have two kids, Annie  and Josh.  I won't tell you how it turns out as I don't want to spoil it for anyone.  Let's just say this is a fabulous feel good movie, an  honest, heart-felt film with an important message about life in today's world.

RE: The Family Man

I absolutely LOVED this movie.  No one can do facial nuances like Nic can.  You can actually believe he is feeling the emotions that cross his face in scenes in this movie.  BTW, FAMILY MAN came out six years ago this December.  I remember going to a sneak preview for this movie right before Christmas.........

Balloons and the song LA LA LA means I love you................. will always put a smile on my face and a tug in my heart.

Yep, great movie. I had such a great time watching it. Maybe I'll borrow it again and watch in during the Christmas holidays just to keep me remember that miracles DO happen at this time of the year Great job, Mr.Cage! He was amazing. I mean it, he had such an innocent expression when he drove up to his company and pretended he was the chief executive or something like that Or the few moments he took in the morning to sing, while choosing his suit. WOW

I must say that I fell in love with Nicolas Cage in this film, with the character he played. He was so sweet and...amazing!

And the movie itself is simple but says a lot of things about life.

I love you Nick!

Another movie, with a very good point, or lesson... or whatever you want to call it. I love movies like this one.. the whole, lets turn the world around and see how you like it. It always makes me wonder, what if i could do that... how would things be?

Yes, "Raising Arizona" is an all-time classic, one of the funniest movies ever. I saw it way back in '88 (?) in the theatres for the first time, and thought it was hilarious. I like the chase scene also, especially when he's running through the house and the cops are after him... and the dogs are after the cops.

I did see "Valley Girl" one time, but it was years and years ago... in fact, it was probably on HBO or something. He was mad sexy even back then

I love, love. love this one. Did I say I love it? I like it when he plays just some regular guy. I loved him in "It could Happen to you" as well. And I have watched "Valley Girl" until I had to get another tape...lol. That's where I first fell in love with him!!! I thought he was soooooooooo hot in that one. And I still do.

When I seen "Raising Arizona" I thought that was the funniest damn movie I have ever seen. I still get a hugh kick out of it when I see it. (I die when he gets launched out of the windshield in that old man's truck) when he is in that famous "chase"scene. I just wish Nic would opt for a mustache more often. I have a very big fetish for men with staches'...lol. I just think they look awesome.

One of my favorites!  I like Tea because she is so natural, not frilly or made up.  Basic beauty (midwest anyone?) and she looks good with Nic.

He really looks good in this movie throughout (no need to mention the tighties - HOT!) and some parts really cracked me up.  He plays a tormented person very well - not a shock - so this was a combo of emotion and comedy.

OK, who has seen it yet?

Cute story... a bit overdone, IMHO, but still OK.  He does a good job with it, and it was funny to see him have to adjust to a middle class life after being rich and powerful in Manhattan.

Also, if you have always wondered what he looks like in tight black briefs, you get ample opportunity to find out.  YOW!!  He's looking damn skippy in boxers too.  Just thought I'd give all my fellow pervos a heads up, heh-heh-heh.
