This is one of my favourite Nic movies...it's so left of centre but then that's what Nicky does best - the weird and wonderful!!

It reminds me of another of Martin Scorsese's masterpieces - Taxi Driver - where the main character (Travis Bickel) narrates through the movie as he glides around the seedier side of New York city in his taxi cab. Nicky's 'taxi' being the ambulance going to the rescue of some strange but wonderful characters!

Not only is Nicky great in this movie but there's a strong supporting cast too - Patricia Arquette, John Goodman, Tom Sizemore and Ving Rhames...not to mention a great music score.

Dang.  And he was pretty pumped in "Con Air".  I'll have to add that one to the list.  Just another piece of eye candy in the jar for me....

Oh yeah!!! Pumped up as in "very muscular". I think he is at his biggest for this movie. The other action flixs he's fit, like in "Con Air", but in "Kiss of Death" he's pretty muscular. I love it!!!! He looks different from the way he is today (as far as size goes)

You are thinking of "Vampire's Kiss". That is the one where he munched on (2) roaches. "Kiss of Death" he plays a hood/thug that runs a strip joint. He is very pumped up for this movie. I think he looks awesome in this. But I think he is just awesome anyhow!

Oh, OK.  That would make sense.  DUH.  I haven't seen either one.

Pumped up?  As in, muscular?

You know, I haven't seen this one yet.  Isn't this the movie where he's a writer who thinks he's a vampire, and he eats a bug?  He actually ate a live bug - TWICE - for this movie.

Now, see, I love the dark and evil stuff.  Don't get me wrong, I love his comedic/light-hearted side too, but the darker roles and stories really intrigue me.  But I've always been that way.

I have no problem with the fact that Nic can act!!! I think he's amazing, but this one isn't one of my favorites. Just a little too dark for my liking. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I am a gal that just likes "romantic comedies" and such.

Hell, he scared me in "Face Off". Boy, he can play evil really good!...lol. Same in "Kiss of Death". He plays "bad guy" real good!

But I prefer him when he's sweet, that's when I like him best.<evil grin>

OK, I just finished watching it, and I just can't say enough about it.  By far one of the best movies I've seen in his collection yet.  This is the one where he plays a paramedic, and it's really deep and intense.  Strangely enough, there is a very dark humor to it as well, but his acting was mind-blowing... the way he was conflicted between wanting to quit and pushing himself to get through just one more night, all the while tormented by the memories of the people he was unable to save.

It's hard to believe that there are some people out there who think he can't act.
