Well, I don't care about why Nic eats fish, I only care about him and his work. I hate pork, anyway.

ODDBALL actor NICOLAS CAGE has revealed that he will only eat meat from animals if he likes the way they have SEX.

The Hollywood star, 46, says he won't touch pork because pigs do not romp in a "dignified" way.

Instead, he scoffs poultry and fish because he finds their love lives more tasteful. Wacky Cage, who won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas, said: "I love all animals.

"I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales - sentient life - insects, reptiles.

"I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex.

"I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds.

"But pigs, not so much. So I don't eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl."

Cage - whose cop drama Bad Lieutenant opens in the UK on Friday - has a reputation for eccentric behaviour.

He has a tattoo of a lizard wearing a top hat, has owned a pet octopus and once ate a ****roach for a movie role.

The three-times wed star bought a snake with two heads while filming Bad Lieutenant in New Orleans.

He said: "I met the snake and said, 'Maybe this will be my bodyguard in New Orleans'." He later gave it to a zoo.
