Thanks Ella! I think our plans for our demise are inherently personal. Me, I would just love a beautiful setting in which to be laid to rest. Before that occurence, I want a Life Celebration Party where everyone is required to wear either white or bright colors. I want people to send me off with happiness and joy............not grief.
Now....my hub has a very personal wish which is actually quite creative and interesting. He wants to be cremated and then he wants me to have an artisan create a Swedish Viking funeral pyre ship.......then I am to invite close family and friends onto a party boat and sail off into Lake Michigan....where we are to put the Viking funeral barge (doused in gasoline and filled with his ashes) and then take turns aiming flaming arrows at it..........so that he can go out as a Viking. Good thing the kids and I have taken archery lessons,eh?
So......the fact is that IF the pyramid pictured is indeed Nic's final choice of a resting place.......I can respect that. It wouldn't be my choice but hey....each to their own!

That's beautiful Beenhereb4. I've never really thought much about dying. But I guess being at peace is what it's all about. And a willow tree is so beautiful! What a pic I can see in my head right now!
Have to comment on this one.............a pyramid is a symbol of perpetual afterlife and normally associated with taking things with you in preparation for the next life.
Personally I'd rather be buried under a weeping willow tree in a simple wooden coffin and have a beautiful angel statue with massive wings standing guard over me. I'm hoping I'm not going to need anything wherever I go next.
But each to their own, eh?

Apparently someone has taken a pic of a tomb that was built for Nic in a New Orleans cemetary. Kinda spooky and kinda cool looking. I never thought he would want to be buried there since he was born in sunny California.
