Had to comment on this, though hurriedly, before logging out. I´m becoming more and more sentimental as I grow up. Nic´s dark side is sexy and all, but... how I love to hear about this other stuff. So sweet indeed.

The series of competing films, brouhaha and parade of stars continue at the 66th Venice Film Festival.
In Venice to promote their new film Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans were Eva Mendes and Nicholas Cage. The lovely actress (We Own the Night) and Cage (National Treasure) posed for the Paparazzi and fans.
In the theatre, before the start of the movie, there were a couple of interesting moments: Eva Mendez tripped over her dress and fell. Cage immediately helped Mendez and made sure she was all right. Then, after the lights were dimmed and the film was about to begin, an Italian woman screamed Nicolas vieni a darmi un bacio che io non posso muovermi" (Nicholas, come kiss me as I am unable to move!).
One of the delegations translators explained to Nicholas Cage that the scream came from a female fan in a wheelchair. Cage rose and walked over to his admirer as the lights were turned back on. He kissed her amidst great applause then returned to his seat for the beginning of the movie.
Perhaps Mr. Cage né Nicolas Coppola should consider playing Prince Charming as his next role
