RE: NT lipsynch

BTW, about dubbing (as you may know I intend to make dubbing and subtitling translation my profession).

The Spanish actor who usually dubs Nic is Jordi Brau. Even though he passes for being one of the best in the business, and is undoubtedly a great actor, I don´t quite like his inflections when he dubs Nic. For my taste, in trying to imitate his vocal nuances, he comes across as dumb most of the time, (which Nic is certainly not, mind you). Anyhoo, the other day I was reading a blog on dubbing matters, and lo and behold they were quoting a radio interview with this Jordi Brau guy... I was amazed to hear to which extent he shares Nic´s views on acting as a musically inspired discipline.

Jordi Brau said in the interview that he considered a foreign actor´s musical rythms, to try and reproduce them in his speech when he was dubbing them. That acting for him was all about music, since he worked with his voice and intonation mainly. Well, Nic has said exactly the same thing in many interviews... Can you believe it? There´s synchronicity for ya!

If you´re curious about Jordi Brau´s voice, you´ve got a sample of his work here. As you can see, he dubs other actors apart from Nic:
