I'd heard the same story about Nic having to go thru the Tactile Dome as a child.....a virtual sensory deprivation experience.

What gets me is how a highly intelligent man such as Nic's father, would even THINK of subjecting a young child as this to something like that.   Must have spawned numerous nightmares for little Nic.

Uggh!

For those of you not familiar with the thing, August designed this experimental attraction when Nic was a kid. And reportedly he tested it on his own children, but Nic was still very little and it scared him to death (at least that´s what I remember reading in an interview). I´d like to visit this place when I go to San Francisco...
