RE: I'd love to see......................

Oh those people who hate Nic don't know true talent when they see it! And Hate is an harsh word too so are they! Anyway, NICK ROCKS in my book and always do. All his movies are special to me as they are all totally different. I love an actor who can act and do many characters like OUR MAN Nick can. What a HUNK of a guy! Go Nick and your FANS will be there for you no matter what.

Tracy, thatīs quite a story... Thanks being a loud champion for Nic, LOL!

I too tend to get people Pd.O., but you know what? After some rough years, you get used to it and begin to relax in your own skin... and consequently the effect gets toned down... Hope the same goes for Nic.

T.Z.:  How devastated was I when my sister and her dearest friend, stood up in the middle of a theater in San Francisco while "Next" was playing, and started booing!  She actually got half the theater to join in with her when it was all said and done!  I did get some to chant:  "NIC IS THE MAN!" Can you believe the ushers never came in to settle the crowd done!?

I'll never forget that evening.  The next morning, I talked about what had happened on my radio show.  The listener reviews were mixed as to what my sister did.  She said that she did it to prove I was a lone star in a huge galaxy filled with people who just don't care for the guy.  The radio station by the way, was located about a mile away from Nic's home in San Francisco.

My argument then and will always be, "It's not my fault others don't have an eye for true talent!  Don't get pissed at me!"

So you see, Nic and I have at least ONE thing in common, we seem to piss people off biggrin!

Oh this topic is cool, love your answers :) :).

Tracy, I agree with your sister. In fact she's absolutely right, a little surprised your sister is a Nic hater. I'm very lucky, I have a big sister who is also crazy for Nic :), she's the one who brought Nic to my life :). Thank her a lot.

And I'd just love to see our man make more movie, be happy and healthy, that's all :).

Oh my goodness Mara!  I totally forgot about the great Telly and Yul.  I loved Yul in "The King and I."  I love old classic movies and that's one of my favorites!

And YES!!  Telly and Yul are indeed wonderful!

Tracy, your sister is a wise young lady... I think she might be TOTALLY RIGHT!

As for Nicīs hair, itīs as idiosyncratic as his eyes, his hands, his brows or his voice... itīs an essential part of him, and I agree with you it suits him. Having said that, Iīm looking forward to his shaving his head. Itīs no secret Iīve got a thing for baldies... find them extremely sexy for some reason.

Two wonderful bald heads that I recall right now were the very pleasant Telly Savalas and the very likeable Yul Brinner. And among the living stars, if I recall correctly Ed Harris sometimes is showing a nearly completely shaved head and some other times is wearing a wig.

The one person that comes to mind is Bruce Willis!  He has been bald for over 15 years but yet, in some movies he has hair and others he doesn't.  Bruce looks great either way.

And if I were posting on any other site, I'd probably get slammed for saying this but, I LOVE Nic's hair.  What's the big deal?  His hair fits HIM!  The style, the hair color, it's perfect for him.

When Nic's hair style does change, its to fit a movie role - period.  I mean, look at Tom Hanks.  He changed his style for "The Da Vinci Code."   Many actors do it but yet when Nic does it, its this abomination.  Seriously, I really don't get it!?  Now, its made him feel self-conscience about his hair because idiot critics focus too much on it.

My sister who is a Nic hater told me:  "People talk about Nic's hair because they can't get him on anything else.  He's a good actor and he stays out of trouble.  So they personally attack him about other things like his marriage to the young asian girl and his hair."

I chuckled.  You know, I know my sister isn't a huge fan of Nic's but I believe she's on to something.

Great answers guys.........and gals............  :)

As far as the shaved head idea..........Personally, I think a man is sexiest when he's his true self and for that reason I'd like to see Nic do as you suggested, Randygirl....

Thing is.............if Nic ever does shave his head...........it's going to be very difficult to ever go back to having 'hair' on the big screen.  The man already gets skewered every which way for the hairstyles he sports in movies.  I'd imagine the naysayers will have a field day with him if he goes the au natural look and then tries to switch back.

BTW.......the only actor I can think of who has been able to do both.......go au natural and then again sport hair in a flick is Sean Connery.

Can anyone think of anyone else who has pulled  it off?

No pun intended............

i would like to see him shave his head. if a man has enough hair elsewhere, a shaved head is sexy as all get out! professionally speaking, there are several characters from pop-culture fiction that i would like to see him portray. but, that is a different thread. i'll start one for the readers out there. gotta love a bibliophile!
