I know the guy has uploaded the vid to make fun of Nic, but I happen to believe this indeed is "Nicolas Cage at his finest" as he mockingly puts it. It is indeed a one of a kind performance, and it takes a genious streak to get there. Such a pity not everbody can get to enjoy the many layers this movie has to offer: pure cinematic gold. Oh well, it´s their loss.

I once read at an Imdb post that there was a guy who made his dates watch this movie, and if they didn´t understand it he inmediately knew they were not his kind of girl. Talk about rites of passage, LOL!
