Can you actually get dissolving confetti mara? Guess if it's made of rice paper. But then it might dissolve as soon as it hits wet ground, and not give the right effect. I understand people wanting to get angry at someone about the situation, even alongside the good fortune of having an, amazing, film with Nic Cage made on the doorstep, but you are so right mara and Oom, Nic is not the right person to blame.

As to the confetti mess.............I sure hope people understand that Nic personally had nothing to do with it.  As he once said....he's an actor.  He doesn't make decisions like to use plastic confetti vs paper confetti in a scene!

To paraphrase.... He's like a 'dog'.  Point him in the direction the director wants him to go and just tell him what you want him to do......and he does it.

Hope the production company is not tardy in compensating those residents and reparing their damages... And I also hope that people understand that it´s not Nicolas Cage´s fault if the props department chose a type of confetti which doesn´t dissolve in water... He personally has nothing to do with THAT, you know? I bet he´s terribly upset about what happened.
