mara, get out of my head:) i was totally thinking of them like cybil and bruce from moonlighting, which is why they should get together at the end because, let's face it, the show died when they finally got together. this way, they ride off in the sunset and live happily ever after LOL
Oooh......sounds good to me. A bit of snapping and totally being honest with each other since they go back so many years. But the snapping can be fueled by the underlying lust and love they won't admit they have for each other. Frustration can build contempt, ya know?

I love how you put it, "unspoken feelingso of lust and love for each other"... That kinda relationship reminds me of Moonlightning... I loved that show. What about introducing some edgy rivalry old thing going on between them, making them a little belligerant with each other, rows being a poor substitute for the sex they´re not having? Just an idea.
I absolutely adore babies and toddlers.....kids up until the age of 11 or 12. Tthat's when the age of reason is supposd to seriously kick in and I, silly me, actually expect them to use reasoning. LOL! The teen years are proving to be a kick in the butt, let me tell ya.
As far as our secretarial sidekick..........would having a baby out of wedlock fit her personality? Could be she was once carefree and footloose and that her young motherhood forced her to become highly responsible?
The Detective and his sidekick could simply be close because they've known each other since childhood and they've always been comfortable being themselves withe each other. It isn't until the last several years when they started to realize they were both walking around each other on tip-toes because of unspoken feelings of lust and love for each other. This hidden attraction could maybe force them to be kinda 'gruff' with each other...........

hey, maybe you could have a child while really young, dad gone for whatever reason, that detective loves and is role model for. part of why you two are so close even before sex. could do all kinds of things with this additional character. or maybe i just love babies
Possible Names:Mina Gotthehots (pronounced in the German way...Gutehouts), Kathrin OConnel and Ms Smiley
She has known both Dr Stonewaller and the Detective since childhood. She is highly loyal to them both, especially to the Detective, with whom there is a mutual smoldering, yet never acted upon nor spoken about shared lust. This loyal and highly trusted confident of the Detective knows how to keep her mouth shut and the two share mutual respect for each other. However, the Sidekick might harbor some other feelings towards the Detective as she is forced to watch him seduce all of the female characters throughout the movie, making her feel a bit like an invisible wallflower.Yet, she is also bemused by his antics.
She has crucial information at her fingertips, and guards the information passionately. She is very close friends with both the Baker and the Cleaning lady and can often be seen with the two of them grabbing a piece of pie and a cup of java in the neighborhood Pie shop owned by the baker friend.

i suggest Mina as a first name. it means something different in many languages, and has cultural significance going back to the beginning of the Egyptian dynasty. plus, it is the only character in Bram Stocker's Dracula that gets away. that's gotta be a plus!
Hmmm.....Kathrin O'Connel. I'll have to roll that name around my tongue a few times. I envision a redhead, that's for sure!
And um....Mrs Smile? All I see are teeth! Lots and lots of teeth! LOL!

the best name for you is Mrs. Smile, but what would be the best name for your character - have no clue dear - i think loyal and trusty - this sound quit conservative Kathrin O ´Connel
The loyal and trusty secretarial type who is the Detectives sidekick is the character created by Oom. Post here your suggested names for her. More description of said character is to follow:
