I´ve read that, family matters aside, he reportedly made it because he had not been offered a part in his uncle´s Dracula, which he so longed to do. So, he devised his role as Eddie in Deadfall as a way to let out his disappointment, caricature-like... And even had a temper tantrum filmed (the scene where he´s on the bed kicking and screaming like a child).
i still have deadfall, but will admit i only got half-way through it, and have never attempted a second try. i heard he only made it to help his brother, but don't know if that is true.
I'm sort of ashamed to say that I have all of Nic's movies on DVD - well except for Grindhouse, which I don't really count - and I did't like it anyway. I hope DVDs stay around for a little while!
Video is still lovingly kept by many, Lula. DVD will soon be a thing of the past too, but I´ll cling to it because... well, you´ve got to stick with something right?
I bought National Treasure 2, but the DVD had a problem so I returned it. It's very hard to find Nic old movies in my country so I just watch Nic movies on TV and Internet. When I saw the DVD The Rock, National Treasure 1 in the shop, I really wanted to buy 'em but my big sister didn't (maybe 'coz they were showed on TV). I was so sad.
ILIA, best.actor.fan., Lula, piegirltx, Liz D, I am really jealous of your Nicollention!!!

Wait, that´s not true: I threw DEADFALL in the garbage after seeing it a couple of times which convinced me that I did not want to see it ever again, LOL. Sooo... I guess that rules out the possibility of owning all of his movies, ever.
Mara, that's still a FEAT... I envy you so much!!

I'm ashamed to admit that half of these are on video, but I won't get rid of the videos because they hold fond memories of when I first became a Nic fan, over 20 years ago now. I'm feeling an old 38 right now! Lol Also, I kind of like video, the same way I like vinyl instead of cd's!
There are a few frustrating gaps but I'm running out of room!
I have a few posters as well, but I'm not much one for collecting other Nic stuff other than the films!

In the past I bought Nics movies like others buy shoes or bags. It was like a addiction. Now the money is gone but I'm happy with my Treasure. I watched most of the movies 10 times or more.
