Sure, if I get the chance, I'll share the news with you and maybe post some pics to make you jealous or envious...biggrin

Hmmmm......maybe...............

Too bad I've had so many near miss meetings with Nic but never actually met him face to face.  Then again............sometimes people who are too similar are like oil and water when they do meet...........they can rub each other the wrong way or make a person face the parts of themselves they aren't terribly fond of......which can be terribly uncomfortable.

I don't hold out any hope of meeting Nic anymore but I am always, always, ALWAYS so happy to hear of other fans who have!

If you do get to meet him Eirian.............remember to tell us all about the man, just as our dear Marta has shared with us, OK?

Aww.....that really is sweet of you to say............I guess....maybe Nic and I might be similar in ways....... I never even considered that that may be the reason I'm drawn to the guy......LOL!

Gawd............I hope he's not reading this stuff cuz if he did he'd probably roll his eyes and run like hell after being compared to me and my lunatic verbosity.   Poor man...................Even I'd feel sorry for him if he were as weird as me!

:)

Don't worry Bon, cuz the man himself is also moonstruck & wild at heart! LOL!!

BTW......I've only met one Texan by the name of Billy.  He was a character, let me tell you.  I once invited a dozen neighbors over for a formal dinner party and he kept us in tears of laughter......especially when......all of a sudden in the middle of a sentence, he fell dead asleep.  No joke!    He was sitting to my left and I had to quickly prop him up until his wife ran over and made him comfortable.  About 15 minutes later, he awoke and continued to entertain us like nothing ever had happened!

Um.........people who spent summers visiting their sisters in the 'hollers' of West Virginia, perhaps?   Like me?   LOL!

Gawd.....I can remember trying to figure out what...."hey Bonner, ya'll wanna take a gander up in dem dar hills and visit wit da old folks in the holler?" meant!

Geez....no joke.....Dem Dar old folks still had an outhouse in their back yard.....

Ah....the memories of childhood!

Oh....and as to um....layering........I think when you peel off enough layers of a person, you find their soul....

Why shucks PieGirl........I will most definitely take that as a compliment!

BTW....I'm a well rounded person.....both literally and figuratively.............that explains the layering......

I know that song very well Piegirl................

A wonderful man I know once sent it to me.  Periodically I put it in the reciever and have both a smile and a good cry while listening to it.

okay, here's an edited version of Erykah Badu's Next Lifetime:

now what am i supposed to do
when i want you in my world
how can i want you for myself
when i'm already someone's girl?

first time that i saw you boy
it was a warm and sunny day
all i know is i wanted you
i really hoped you'd look my way
when you smiled at me so warm and sweet
i could not sleep
you made me feel like a little bitty girl
what you do to me

i guess i'll see you next lifetime
no hard feelings
guess i'll see you next lifetime
i'm gonna be there
guess i'll see you next lifetime
we'll be butterflies
guess i'll see you next lifetime

your energy
feels so damn good to me
it picks me up
don't wanna come down
you've got me spinning all around, yeah

you need to know
that i got somebody
your beautiful
but it ain't that type of party

see it ain't nothing wrong with dreaming
boy don't get me wrong
'cause every time i see you
i know just how strong
that my love is for my baby
but emotions just don't lie
well i know i'm a lot of woman
but not enough to divide the pie

guess i'll see you next lifetime...

should be heard in it's entirety, but i had to edit b/c it's too long. she is amazing.

And now ladies and gentlemen, after having called you all idiots in your faces, I´ve decided it´s the right time for me to retreat to bed before I say something else of the sort... My pleasure! Carry on with the fun!

You sure it's not all this blinding idiocy we're got going on here tonight that hasn't made you hit the wrong key or something?

I´m reallhy sorry... I wanted to quote Bonnie´s post and writhe "ROTFWL" but I managed to get the acronym all over HER POST. Am I clumsy, or what? (That must mean I must get more sleeping hours...)

Only wanted to point out that she never wrote ROTFWL, I did....

I tell ya Liz.......no disrespect meant here.....but ya can always tell a Newbie Nicfan.  They are hit hard with the hots for Nic and can't get enough of the guy.

If you stick around as long as me, believe it or not, you will begin to feel motherly towards him....like I often do.

Nowadays....instead of wanting to climb up in that crowded lap of his, I'd rather sit him down with some Matzo Ball soup and say...."

Eat, Nic!  EAT!  That's a good boy!"

See? Those Swiss clinics are just the very best! I knew that was the definite cure! Should we patent the treatment? We could name it "Let Laurel & Hardy cure your Nic addiction, and embrace a lifetime of Nic-free dullness and silent movies"

Speak for yourself Young Lady!

Sometimes I think this Nic addiction is the scourge of my life..........

BTW.......Stan and Laurel Hardy?   OMG..........I'd rather quit Nic cold turkey than have to be subjected to those two!

sorry to be really boring and disappointing but i just meant see him again as in watch a film. it's one of my life's little pleasures - but it's a routine i have gotten into  - watching at least 1 of  his movies every day and sometimes 2 or 3 if i have the time....

You ladies crack me up.

Hey Dr Jenn, is there any rehab clinic for Nicacholics in Switzerland or something?

You know, where we could all check into and where beds would come complete with a portable DVD and a collection of Nic´s most hunky movies for us to dwell in sin... only to be taken out of bliss by reducing the Nicfix gradually on a 12 step programm... until we hated our beds so much that we preferred sleeping sitting upright on the armchair... and now that I think of it we would get addicted to chocolate bars as a compensation of sorts for Nicfix shortage, and to cope with the withdrawal symptoms maybe we would be forced to seeing the complete works of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy... OH NOOO TAKE ME OUTTA THERE!!!!

We´re addicted to Nic and that´s it. Period. We´re doomed, but will live happily ever after...
