January 27, 2009 - Summit Entertainment, the makers of the hit film Twilight, will be attending New York Comic Con in a couple of weeks to present exclusive peeks at several of their upcoming movies. Among the projects on display will be Knowing, The Hurt Locker, and Astro Boy.

On Saturday, February 7th, from 4pm to 5pm, new footage and "surprise guests" from Knowing will be revealed. The film comes from director Alex Proyas (I, Robot, Dark City) and is described as "a gripping action-thriller of global proportions, following a professor (Nicolas Cage) who stumbles onto terrifying predictions about the future -- and sets out to prevent them from coming true."

The Hurt Locker, directed by Kathryn Bigelow (Near Dark, Point Break), is "an acclaimed, explosive thriller about an elite bomb squad engaged in a deadly game of cat and mouse amidst the chaos of war." This presentation will also feature new footage and surprise guests.

Then on Sunday from 11:30am to 12:30pm, Summit will present its new Astro Boy movie, based on the manga and anime of the same name. "A thrilling tale of a true hero," says the studio, "Astro Boy is an all-new, feature film full of action, adventure, humor, and heart." A CGI animated project, world premiere footage from the film will be unveiled during this event.
