RE: Full moons, Eclipses, Shooting stars and Saturn events...all in 2009!

You are so welcome! It is a pleasure to share.smile.gif

I wonder if any of the international members here saw the eclipse yesterday?!sun.gif
Only a very small part of the world got to see it!

Ilia, I absolutely believe in other life in the universe.
I feel it is more realistic to believe that too, we are just one planet in our solar system and just one solar system of the entire universe!

Last year astronomers got the first images of a certain kind, of planets beyond our solar system, and it makes you realize how little we can truly know!

I don't think we're the only planet with life on it.

Very cool stuff Lula!   I love celestial events!  I've had a thing for shooting stars for quite some years now.  Even used to write poems about them!  LOL!

Apart from Nic, I'm nuts about a few other things too, including celestial and earthly wonders (come to think of it Nic fits in that category !!wink.gif)

2009 is The International Year of Astronomy and I have done a kind of celestial astronomy calendar for the year which includes full moons, eclipses and other astronomy, and wanted to share it here, for any fellow sky gazers!

There are some pretty big astronomical events this year including some Saturn events, and 2 solar eclipses....

One of which is TOMORROW!

It's only visible in the southern hemisphere, check out the times and locations below, I would love to hear anyone's experiences if they see it, or see some photos! smile.gif
