LOS ANGELES—Nicolas Cage, who stars in the upcoming movie The Weather Man, has sold his home in nearby Malibu for about $10 million.
The Oscar-winning actor, who owns a home in the Bel-Air section of Los Angeles and a house in New Orleans, had owned the Malibu home since 1997, when he purchased it for close to its $3.6-million asking price.
He had remodelled the house, built in 1973. It has two bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,800 square feet, according to public records. It's on slightly more than half an acre overlooking the ocean and a pool.
Cage, 41, rented out the home during the last year and sold it to his tenants, area real estate sources said.
