Lionsgate is saving two of its summer theatrical movies for DVD and Blu-ray release in January. Nicolas Cage-starrer Bangkok Dangerous and comedy spoof Disaster Movie will debut on Jan. 6 (prebook Dec. 10).
The $15 million-grossing Bangkok will be priced at $29.95 for a single DVD, $34.98 for a two-disc special edition and $39.99 for a two-disc Blu-ray. Disaster Movie , which earned $14 million, will be released in theatrical or unrated versions on DVD (each priced at $29.95). The Blu-ray version will be $39.99.
On Blu-ray, both will include a BD Live feature called MOLOG, which allows users to insert text, graphics and audio into the films and post blogs to share with other users.
