These days Nic has won an appeal with the IRS...This settles the matter for good I hope.

In the link below, and expert on the field explains the issue thoroughly and concludes Nic not only is not guilty of anything, but on the contrary he is not being given any privileged treatment for being a celebrity in this matter:

Sure you all remember about the IRS issues Nic had earlier this year. The press unjustly accused him of tax fraud for incorrectly using his company Saturn Films to write off personal expenses worth $3.8M.

But the truth was,Nic wasn´t being investigated by the IRS, it was the other way round, LOL: he was just protesting some of the IRS´s decissions regarding his company and decided to appeal, which every taxpayer has a right to do and in fact is routine proceeding.

Then WENN, the agency which distributed this falsity in the first place, was forced to issue a public apology for having maliciously misinterpreted the facts:

On 20 February, 2008, World Entertainment News Network (WENN) distributed a story under the headline "Cage Accused of Tax Fraud".
WENN has since learned that the headline is untrue and he has not, in fact, been accused of tax fraud, and that, to the contrary, Mr. Cage initiated legal proceedings against the Commissioner of Internal Revenue challenging certain decisions of America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and not vice versa. WENN regrets this error and apologises to Mr. Cage for any distress this erroneous article caused.
WENN urges any of its subscribers who may have published this article to publish a similar correction and apology and remove the original article from your electronic and other files.....WENN Editor.

I have to confess I was among those who were shocked by the false news and at first doubted Nic´s intentions... I´m guilty of having a suspicious mind, LOL! Then I was relieved when I read the apology... That´s why I think the record should be set straight as many times as necessary to make the point across... that Nic just did what he as an honorable citizen is entitled to do: appeal, then comply with the laws.

And, last but not least... What should my punishment be for being so silly as to believe the malicious press reports??? Nicky boy, I can compensate you in any way you choose, you just have to ask, LOL!!
