Those are all great items for a Bucket list. Especially the first one!
I've always said that my favorite quote is "A parent's job is to work themselves out of the job" and it's very true.
And I'll share a story.........about a Mother's love...........
When I was about 15, my mom had a major stroke. She was a smoker, had always had huge amounts of stress in her life, was overweight and well.....her caratoid artery got blocked. Her Dr's seriously did not think she'd survive the surgery needed. They told her that she should try to lose 20 lbs in six weeks time and give up smoking and that by doing that, it would help her odds of surviving.
Well...........she did just that! After 43 years of smoking, she quit cold turkey while at the time going on a strict diet.
And you know why she did it? Cuz of a mother's love, that's why.
One night right after she was told she probably wouldn't survive the surgery, I woke up in the dead of the night to her voice and her tears. She was crying and praying that God would let her live just a little while longer because all she wanted to do.....her entire Bucket list...... was to see the last of her kids grow up and get out on their own. I was her youngest......and she desperately wanted to make sure I'd be okay if she was gone, along with my older brothers.
And you know what? God answered her prayers!
She lived for another 30 years or so!
So hey! Don't give up on your Bucket list! You can see all your dreams come true! :)
