And you're right................about the scene in Moonstruck. He describes perfectly what love is like..........how it's messy and complicated and heartbreaking and Nic delivers those lines with pure passion.....

I have wondered many times which role I would have chosen, if given the chance... and I can´t make up my mind.
I think maybe I´d be Loretta Castorini, just to hear Nic say these words to me:
"Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn't know this either, but love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bull*****. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and *get* in my bed!"
Few lines in Nic´s movies ring so true as these when he delivers them right from his very soul. He melts every snowflake with his passion in this scene.
To be Tea Leoni as Kate.....and hearing the love of her life (Nic/Jack) sing LA LA LA MEANS I LOVE YOU to her face with such love and truth would be the role I'd want to be 'in'.
