he was 17 during the filming of fast times at ridgemont high he was 18 (1982) when it released (great movie if you haven't seen it) it's actually one of the reasons he didn't get the role of brad due to chld labor laws. his next movies, released in 1983, rumble fish (not a huge role but also an incredible movie) and valley girl, his first starring role (another 80's classic) deffinetly check all 3 out if u get the chance
