Well anyone can get drunk a bit sometimes when they party or go in bars even celebs ...that not mean someone is an alcoolic...am I wrong ?

And I am glad he is starting to gain some weight again ...he was so creepy skinny and still too skinny in my opinion... I liked the Nicolas Cage in the 2002-2003 after he met the No 3rd he started to look very sick....go back solo Nic ...you will be hhappier again ! lol

We all, be it rich or poor..in between..all have addictions.  It's just that ours are not called out at every chance that seem like a money making moment.  And I know this might catch me some slack, but who is too really say when someone looks like themselves or not?  I mean really, unless we know the person personally, how do we know?  Everyone goes thru life phases and so it is the same for our look.  Ok..enough with my wanna be zenbuddha moments, lol. wink

i agree Lass of War. The only time he ever looked not himself was when he got skinny and that article is so ridiculous and most likely untrue

It seems like when he has a movie coming out sometimes these interviews will come out that seem pieced together to me. It's like they're different parts of old interviews put together.  I wonder why they do this? Is he that difficult to get an interview with? If he ever was an alcoholic the only time I would believe that something was wrong was last year when he was so thin and scary looking.  Almost like he was sickly.  Now he's looking better. So hopefully he's back into the game and getting into life and not drinking as much.

well, if in fact he did say that he had an alcohol addiction once, i am very surprised.  He certainly did not seem like it and somehow i still am not sure if i believe it.

i also remember that article and it did say the other stuff but it didn't say about alcohol. This new article is dated this month.  I wonder if they actually interviewed him or did they copy his other interview and add to it? Or did he repeat what he said before and he added to it?  its really strange. I just somehow do not see him as someone that has had that issue, back in the late nineties he was buff, it was obvious that he worked out. People that care about working out and their bodies like that usually don't  have alcohol addictions.  His body never changed until After he got married which he lost some weight. Though now it seems to be looking athletic again in the recent photos.  so i just don't get why it says that in that article.

I agree with you Penny Lane. This is a habit or trend now being an alcoholist or being on a drug tapering-off cure but these things are the craze of actors/actresses who like to make an exhibition of themselfs.
I don'T think Nicolas is such kind of person.
If he had had a problem with drink, he would have sold it without any sensation.
And it's a stupid thing from the press to transmit it now- I've just read at the page you wrote that somebody remembers the same article transmitted 1 year ago.

So, what's the truth?

I think this page isn't too reliable..hmmcry Else I'm very naive.ashamed
