I would suggest starting your search for information at the Cochem library, the neighborhood Churches, and the town hall for birth records, death records and marriage/baptismal records.  Also, you might try to access records at Ellis Island in NYC.  Good luck....

Can anybody help us! I read in a interview, that his grandmother is born in Germany in the town of Cochem on the moselle.

I'm living in Cochem and so I'm interested in getting further information about Louisa Vogelsang, especially her birthname.
