Hi Ben. You should definitely rent this movie... Nic is very good when he´s bad. In the DVD extras there´s a clip of him explaining how he approached this character... he says something along the lines of "a lion born in the jungle is not responsible for killing other animals to feed himself". He gives a despicable character some heart and soul... impressive work, eclipsed by his Oscar because his next job was Leaving Las Vegas and everybody was talking about his "other" perfomance that year.
Kiss of Death.... I love this movie ... I liked his character in this movie . He was a cold hearted killer and a Thug who like to beat the crap out of well, other thugs but he always has a legitimate reason for what he does... And that is why I want him to live.....He appears to be a maniac, but regadless of the fact that he is ruthless killer, he is sooo hot that at some point, all that matters is that you just want him to live and maybe redeem himself down the road . and the best part is he does.....
