I'm not sure if he smokes cirgars or cirgerates off stage but he seems to know how to smoke in his films. Especially, in "Wild At Heart", Matchstick Men to name a few films I recall him smoking. I hope he don't smoke too often off stage. He looks good doing that on films though as in certain parts it makes him look sexty in a way. Nancy

I've read an article saying that Nic is one of the actor smoking the most in Hollywood films !! More interestingly, he's second only to Brad Pitt in smoking scenes ! However in real life, i have no idea whether he smokes or not!

well for one smokers ted to cough alot and in all this interviews that i have seen (and i have seen alot) he hasnt even put his hand over hes mouth once....maybe he did smoke in the past but nobody knows for sure if he did only he knows....and maybe he quite...like i said nobody is going to know everything about him only he knows him and knows if he smokes or not anymore......so im now starting to think that this poll is more of a guess than it is "lets see how many people are right and wrong" or "lets see who know Nicolas the best" because nobody really does know everything about him hes not going to tell the whole world about him and maybe he says one thing when he doesnt do it anymore.....come on really....thats what i think and nobody is going to tell me other wise....

He gave up smoking cigarettes when Weston was born but it was reported recently the he, and Alice, were at a function and they both went outside for a ciggie! I know for sure that he smokes cigars.
i had thought that too, but I wonder how he could smoke in movies like Matchstick Men if he is a former smoker without it bothering him or him wanting to smoke again. It looked like he may have inhaled the cigarettes.
