I'll have to re-look this one. Can't remember much about it. Always interesting to see him work. The way he has learned his craft over the years is amazing.
Yeah I love this movie too. From the way Amos uses his one phonecall to order pizza and beer while in gaol to him driving south to get to Canada this is a clever comedy. At the same time it does make some social comments. We like to tell ourselves that prejudous is a result of ignorance or lack of education. Yet in A & A The well educated upper class couple are the ones making ignorant assumations based on colour while poor, uneducated, petty crimial and lets face it not too smart Amos takes Andrew as he is as a person regardless of colour. Whether we mean to or not we tend to make a link between the quality of the person based on the ecomonic quality of their lives . Again in A & A this is challenge with the dishonest , trickery and self serving behaviour coming from the upper and middle class players while lower class Amos display a basic honestly and morality though the film. Of cause all this is done without distracting from humour that makes this comedy so enjoyable.
Another funny movie that I love to watch. With a not-so-wellknown-at-the-time Samuel L. Jackson who thinks everyone is against him because he's black hehehe.
