RE: The Ultimate Result Of All Ambition/ To Be Happy At Home

I don't think you were rude Ella so no apologies necessary as far as I can tell.  The conversation topic doesn't seem to be one pertaining to Nic but hey....at the rate that people post any conversation starters here....I figured why not go with the flo, if ya know what I mean.  :)

I didn't mean to sound like a b*tch. I know I can come across like that to most but I don't mean to. Sorry if I did.

I kinda know what she was talking about but why in a Nic Cage discussion group? Maybe this should be in the chit chat section? Just my opinion. Very deep discussion material. Makes one think. I know it did to me.

I would think it pretty much means that once you consciously give up control and the need to control others to a higher power, for whatever reason, life becomes settled, happier and manageable.

Someone who tries to constantly control themselves, every situation and other people aren't allowing themselves to simply BE who they really are.  This creates tremendous inner conflict, guilt, shame, anger, lonliness and distrust.

The same goes for someone who allows others to control them or their emotions or who gives up their own personal control to another.

It's a catch 22 situation all the way around.

To North:  I hope you find what you are aiming for.  With sincere effort and hard work, you'll get there.  God Bless.
