in the fn cold-ass rain working with nic cage

nic cage lurches onto set and yawns.

okay, he drawls. When nic cage speaks its. . .its nic cage.

his teeth are perfect

hes a big, big movie star.

nic cage is in wardrobe.

his wardrobe is perfect.in a distressed way.

its a rainy-windy-cold night on a downtown street corner.

the movie is a new nic cage movie called, the hungry rabbit jumps which I think is a funny and clever title.

nic cage turns a corner as a young man tap dances with crushed strawberry barqs root beer cans wedged into his tennis shoes.

nic cage is headed for a public phone on a dreary new orleans street corner.

Cut! Go again right away. Re-set.

im crouched with a woman behind my beloved Saturn automobile, Golden Boy for which i am to receive an extra fifteen american dollars to park on the street so when nic cage comes barreling round that corner itll look like a real street in a real city which, by the way it really is.

we are to wait until nic cage picks up the pay phone and calmly walk past him and stop by the young man tap dancing.

BahBOP, tappy tap tap. BahBOB tappitty tap. Four, five, six times.

Cut! Go again right away. Re-set.

the woman hooks her arm into mine as we walk past nic cage.

i look up and realize that the woman is attractive, with a lovely smile and we fall very much into the idea that were a regular couple walking in the rain past nic cage on a dreary new orleans street which indeed we are.

nic cages fans stop by. he is gracious. he takes pictures with them. he talks to wives on cell phones in far away places just to say hello.

watching the faces, they are star-struck. such joy. rapture. nic cage for that second, completes them.

nic cage is the nicest person they have ever met.

one of the fans even asks him how his pet octopus is.

on the dreary new orleans street corner we go again.the british assistant director is lovely. Usually they are not.Hes polite and personable to us. he earns about one hundred times what we do.nic cage earns one thousand times what the lovely british assistant director makes.

Cut! Go again right away. Re-set.

we are asked to walk closer to him as we cross and head around the corner from whence nic cage came.
