i can't find Bringing out the Dead anywhere. :( there are about 10 movies of his they don't have near by me. but Bringing Out The Dead is coming in the mail through blockbuster woo. They didn't even have Leaving Las Vegas in stores around here. and the video is going to be rad and very cheesy.
So... do you REALLY look just like Nicolas Cage?  Because if you do, I feel it's only fair to warn you that there are at least three lovesick girlies on this board (myself included) that will chase you down.  You can run, but you can't hide

i don't think i do. but after getting stopped by complete strangers so many times over the years i wrote that song about 3 years ago...i haven't gotten it as much since. playing it live I either get the reaction...wow that song is funny because you really do look like him...and then the "you don't look like him at all"

i'll let you decide when the video is out. ha

i've watched about 20 nic cage movies this week for research. and he really picks movies with interesting stories...which has contributed no doubt to his stardom. His character in Moonstruc (since it was awhile ago) seems like it would have some influence on some other unique cinema characters (not played by nic) that have turned up in movies since. (ie Billy Madison?? Kingpin? etc )

Wow, you're really researching hard for this song, eh?  LOL.

Have you seen "Bringing Out The Dead" yet?  It's BITCHIN' and if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it    It's one of my new favorite Nic movies, at least of the lesser known ones.  His character is incredibly intense in this one... he did an outstanding job.

I am not sure where I read this but I understand this role was made possible because Cher insisted the young actor Nic Cage play the role.  In fact, I heard she walked off the project until he was hired.  The director of the movie..Norman Jewison has a new book out about his movies. I haven't had the opportunity to read it yet, however I did hear an interview with him and he discussed Moonstruck. He was also famous for a few other movies including "Fiddler on the Roof" "Jesus Chrsit Superstar" "A Soldier's Story" to name a few.

Heh-heh-heh... "I was cutting some bread, see, and Johnny came in and started talking to me, and I wasn't paying attention, and the slicer cut up my hand.".  And then his fiancè left him because of it.

Heck, I'd take him... wooden hand or no wooden hand.

Just fiinished watching it.  While his acting was a bit wooden (at least compared to what he's done recently), he did add more than a little something to the movie.  He was so passionate, romantic, and sexy... oh dear, he was a scoundrel even back in the day, wasn't he?    He looks quite a bit different than now, but still just as handsome.

You know, I borrowed this movie from the library last night and now I'm watching it for the first time.  It's not a bad movie at all... Nic's acting style was completely different than it is now, very James Dean-ish.  LOL.  But so far it's an interesting story, and has some funny lines.  I like it when the woman (can't remember her name) said, "Old man, if you give one more plate of food to those dogs, I'll kick ya 'til you're dead!!".

One of my favorites.  Cher and the rest were great, but he stole the show.

I think that Moonstruck was fabulous!!! Nic and Cher really have a great chemistry on-screen.

Hi,

I thought Moonstruck was and still is one of his best romantic comedies thus far.
