The Madrid Gothic Week sounds so cool, Mara! Halloween is like a day in my country that people throw some money or out of their windows or put some food outside the house so kids can take it. People do that to dismiss the bad spirits. Some years ago, this day is just for kids. But now, even some adults join it, but most of them are leisured or homeless (some of them even kill someone to get the money).
The funny thing is in my country, little children don't join it. Just the teenagers, adults dress something fun or scary, go to the party, go out or go to some funny haunted housed. Maybe this year I just stay at home and watch Nightmare Before Christmas.

Ooops, I forgot about the candy too!! LOL! You see, Halloween is a foreign festival for us Spaniards, and even though we´re culturally colonized, it´s hard to get familiar with the details of alien traditions... But I´ll get some jellies in a Martini glass, just in case Nic shows up at my doorstep with the trick or treat routine... dressed up as Ghost Rider, of course, LOL!
Maybe I do it too, Mara

but better is to celebrate it earlier, Einsteinn said TIME IS RELATIVE, so do not worry mara. Who knows who will knock on your door that night? Do you have any candy left behind?
Ooops, I was a week too early with my Halloween greetings, huh? Sorry about that folks, I´m the most absent-minded person ever, LOL!
The confusion srang from the fact that I attended this Madrid Gothic Week which began THIS weekend, and for some reason thought Halloween was ALSO this weekend... Take a peek if you´re curious, it´s really something to see so many Gothic kids (and non-Gothic people too, LOL!) around this event.
Hey Wes, if you don´t have any plans for this next week and you happen to be in Europe, come to Madrid and give this a try, I think it´s right up you alley:
