Thanks for the post, Mara! Don't know why my tears come out when I read 'Would you trade all that you have for a day of true love?'

``I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss of her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it,'' says angel Seth (Nicolas Cage) after losing his beloved Maggie (Meg Ryan) on his first day as a human.
Thanks to HBO, I enjoyed a romantic evening which reignited my passion as a Meg Ryan fan.
If you haven't seen the 1998 movie, City of Angels, here's the plot. Seth is an angel responsible for guiding people into the next life. While waiting for an old man who will not survive heart surgery, Seth is impressed by the determination of surgeon Maggie to save him, and the pair soon become attracted to each other.
When Maggie finds out Seth plans to turn human by ``falling'' for her, she avoids him, but at the same time she rejects a proposal of marriage from her boyfriend _ her feelings for Seth are so deep that she can't marry anyone else.
Seth decides to exercise his free will, give up his exalted status and become human, through a process called ``falling.'' He will then been able to have a loving physical relationship with Maggie.
But there's a tragic tear-jerking twist.
Maggie decides to cook Seth a feast, but cycling back from the supermarket, she is struck and killed by a truck.
Many people remember Seth's willingness to trade his heavenly status for a day of human love and romance. I am more touched by Maggie's truthfulness to herself. When she turned down her boyfriend, she didn't expect Seth to appear at her door.
Would you trade all that you have for a day of true love?
