"Hell begins on the day when God grants us a clear vision of all that we might have achieved, of all the gifts which we have wasted, of all that we might have done which we did not do" ~~Gian Carlo Menotti~~
I¨m afraid I posted this somewhere else, but I can´t find it to erase it. Sorry about the duplication.
As for the reviewer´s remarks.... I believe it´s Nic´s speciality to make us root for impossible characters, sooo... we fans are used to this "no mean feat" stuff coming from him. Right, guys?
Ive been running around seeing movies, doing interviews and going to various social events with filmmakers. IFC and SPC held back-to-back dinners Saturday night, while Sunday night the Steinbergs hosted their annual closing night bash.
Sunday is the closing brunch in the town park, where Im conducting a panel called The Edge of Humor: Where Does the Laughter Start and Stop?
The panelists should know: Nic Cages performance as a drug-addicted out-of-control police lieutenant in Werner Herzogs remake of Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, is one of his best: outrageous, over-the-top and hilarious. And youre rooting for him, no matter how far off the edge he goes, no mean feat.
