Wow! I always wanted to visit London! My second home away from home (if I had a choice) would be England... I love the rain, hot tea, and a good read near the fireplace!
Just an update: I just enroled in a Tai Chi group and I´ll be spending my Sunday mornings in the Retiro park trying to go with the flow... so from now on I´ll have to post on Saturdays I guess. No more lazy Sunday mornings for me!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

That's okay, dear... it's NICe to hear that you have such a substantial trip! And... a great idea to stay in a certain place to get better understanding of it! Hope you can achieve this goal! :)

Sorry last Sunday I missed my weekely visit to this cyberhaven of friendship guys... I had a good reason, I was in London with a bunch of friends for the weekend!
I enjoyed my trip... London is looking its best since I last went there, which was... let me think, hard...I was a HS silly kid... Mrs Thatcher herself was a young lass back then (just kidding, under all that helmet style hairdo of hers you couldn´t tell anyway, LOL!)... it was back in ' 89, folks, when I was trying to learn a little English. Aaah those were the days... but I digress, ahem.
Multicolored London, one of Europe´s breakwater cities. I made the most of my weekend, and strolled endlessly on pavements and parks alike until my feet hurt and felt swollen up... I didn´t miss the usual sightseeing spots, I went to Greenwhich by boat (a girl from sunny Spain getting a suntan on the Thames... unheard of, LOL!), I had a blast at the Notting Hill carnival, I got a taste of the Soho night scene, I had many pints in many historical pubs (and at least one in a histerical one, hehehe...), had a most pleasant night walk from Leiscester Square to my Belgravia hotel (London taxis, after all these years I keep ignoring you, LOL!)... even managed to go to that wonderful bookshop called Waterstones and buy me a Sony Reader, of which I´m the proud owner now!
The thing is... by the time I got back home I was already feeling convalescent of exhaustion. And I just turned 40, and my speed in life is getting slower, sooo... There´s a lot to learn from the SLOW MOVEMENT, folks...There´s another way to travel. I just hope I can get to actually LIVE the places I visit, at least for some months, and not get only a sniff of the atmosphere, but actually get to know the locals a little bit more and experience the spot in all its wonderful diversity. Slow travel... sounds good, huh? Someday I´ll have the time and disposition to do that.
Read it all about the SLOW MOVEMENT below. It´s an Italian brilliant idea which started with food (slow food to counteract junk food on the run).
