I too like to see Nic play the 'bad ass' in a film.  He can exude darkness with just a flick of an eyelid.

As to Nic not settling down until he retires.....    My opinion is that he owes it to Kal to give him a stable home where Kal has his own room for his boyhood treasures, where he can make lifelong friends to lean on thruout his life and where he can feel as though he lives in a real home and not be uprooted every four months because Daddy's work comes first.

Also......the truth is that Alice should also be allowed to have a home of her own.  She too needs to be allowed to build a life, to have friends, to 'nest'.

If Nic's work comes first for Nic then fine.......but then he should do as he did with Weston.......be a traveling Daddy.   Or he should only choose projects where he isn't often on location.   Parents are always having to sacrifice their own desires for their children. 

In fact....that's the true definition of parenthood.

Actually I'm looking forward to another 'Castor Archer' performance... (sorry i haven't seen LOW)
remember that one review has introduced Nic as 'Hollywood's dark prince'? Maybe this would suit him. :)

Good question... but it's difficult to do so unless Nic retires, IMO.

Hmmmm.......sounds like a role that allows ya to get some real angst out.  Of course....it also would immerse someone deeply into their own darkness.

On a sidenote.....the reports say this will start filiming in April of next year on location in Louisiana.   Makes me wonder when Nic is going to seriously settle down into a home where Kal can put down some roots.

Nicolas Cage to Drive Angry in 3D Source


Heat Vision is reporting that Nicolas Cage has signed to star in Drive Angry, a 3D revenge action movie that Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine 3D) will direct for Nu Image/Millenium Films.

Written by Lussier and Todd Farmer, the story centers on a man (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.

The studio is planning to begin production in April in Louisiana.
