I won´t be a stranger, promise! My visits to this forum are restricted to Sundays, but I´m ejoying them like a kid in a sandbox *happy smiles*
I only wanted to add that it´s only the fans who make a fan forum, and Nic is blessed with the best fans... no one is indispensable since I´m sure there are so many others willing to take over... They hopefully will take this forum in another direction. The Nic fandom needs new blood, LOL! Hope all of you articulate, witty, devoted, charming fans can keep this wonderful place going... You´re all great at that, so go for it!

Wow. You guys are too sweet... I´m missing you all terribly, let me tell you that! Big thanks for your remarks that mean a lot to me. It´s been (and still is) my absolute pleasure to contribute my little share of Nic goodies here, and most of all to be able to "talk" to you all, my online friends.
You know, Nic Cage should be very proud of his fanbase... I for one am proud of being part of it.
I´m gonna alleviate a bit my withdrawal symptoms releasing the Nic fan on me for a while, LOL! It´s Sunday morning after all.

I've not been around for a little while, but I just wanted to say I totally echo what Bon just said. I feel a combination of sadness and gladness, but most of all, gratitude. Thank you so so much for your time and energy and for the unique mix of interesting, fun thoughtprovoking Mara flavoured stuff you have relentlessly brought to this forum.
Between you and Bon, you have brought this place alive and it takes alot of life and dedication.
Also I'm filled with admiration for the decisions you are proactively taking to change the direction of your career, most people wait til it is no longer a choice...go for it Mara. You can succeed at whatever you put your mind to. I hope with your 2 part time jobs you get to breathe more. Be happy!

Vacation´s over and I must face reality, that oh so stubborn goddess. I had a lovely time on the beach these past three weeks, but have also been working like crazy on my translation courses. I may have told you before that I´m leaving my present job as a secretary in the fall, since I intend to become a script translator: subtitles, dubbing, voice-over. With that, my passion for languages and for cinema comes as a two-for-one thing, LOL! The bottom line is, I´ll be working two part-time jobs very soon, and that will leave me with even less spare time than ever. But the effort is gonna be worth it. I really need a change before it´s too late.
All that long winded explanation is to break the news that I won´t be moderating this site as of September 1st. OF COURSE I´ll be still hanging around a lot in CageFactor, since this Nic fantasy doesn´t seem to wear off with me after ten years, LOL! I´ll be posting goodies and chatting with you all as usual. It´s just that the next few months, or years, are presumably going to be very hectic for me, and I cannot guarantee a regular online presence in this forum anymore. Moderating is out of the question for me, but I intend to post whenever I possibly can, which will very likely be once a week! That´s going cold turkey, I mean... I´ve been logging on a daily basis since the TONCAS age. I have withdrawal symptoms already, LOL!
I just wanted to thank you all for your kindness to me all this while. You´re a lovely set of people, and I´m very fortunate to have had the chance to meet you through this fandom thing. I will always be indebted to Nic for the gift of your friendhip guys. This is not a farewell, just a so long... we´ll keep in touch... but I´m missing you already, boohoo...
