RE: Nic emulating Klaus Kinski?

I think it's  highly possible you are onto something Mara..............from all I've read Nic would do such a thing!   Cool!

Some Imdb and YouTube users seem to think so...

Klaus Kinski, father of Natashia Kinski, was Werner Herzog´s favorite actor and they shot many movie together, most of them have become cult classics. I´ve seen one of them as a kid, and it scared the hell out of me, LOL! It was called "Aguirre, the Wrath of God". Kinski was truly a force of nature as an actor (even though he seems to have left much to be desired as a person).

Anyhoo, there´s something Herzog calls "the Kinski turn". It´s explained here, in this Imdb post:

And, according to some, Nic could be emulating this move in Bad Lieutenant. Watch for minute 0:39 of the trailer:

What do you guys think?? We cannot compare to Kinski´s original move, but... do you think that Nic could be paying tribute to Kinski as a tip of the hat to Herzog?
