Sounds great, she´s the quintaessential Italian beauty!

She was slated to play Ava, the wife of Yuri Orlov in LOW, but she got pregnant and finally refused.... I´m glad for that because... and that´s a personal opinion.... I´m not a fan of her acting. But she´s got a great personality on camera, and I guess she´ll be a treat to watch in TSA.

Variety reports that lovely Italian actress turned staple of French cinema Monica Bellucci has joined the cast of Disneys The Sorcerers Apprentice, currently shooting in New York with Nicolas Cage, under the auspices of Jon Turteltaub (of the National Treasure movies). In the fantasy film, Bellucci would play Veronica, a sorceress and the long-lost love of Nicolas Cages character, Balthazar Blake, which makes Nicolas Cage one lucky dog. The brunette Goddess joins a cast that already includes Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer and Toby Kebbell. The plot has a sorcerer (Cage) recruiting and training a young protege to help him fight the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan. You know, the usual night in Manhattan. Bellucci, Cage conjure up on-screen romance

LOS ANGELES (AFP) Italian actress Monica Bellucci will star alongside Nicolas Cage in a modern-day tale of magic and sorcery set in New York, it was reported Friday.

Bullucci, 44, will play a sorceress who is the long-lost love of Cage's character in the Disney family adventure film, entertainment industry journal Variety reported.

Cage will play a sorcerer who recruits a young college student as his protege in an attempt to battle the forces of evil in Manhattan. The film is due for release in 2010.

Filming of the movie is already under way and made headlines earlier this month when a Ferrari used for a stunt in the film went out of control and hit two pedestrians.

There were no serious injuries in the accident.
