RE: An astrological chart on Nic

I'd say that would be a reasonable assumption!

I have to confess I´m rather ingnorant of all things astrologycal: Maybe the reason behind the name of his filming company (Saturn) is realted to the influence of Saturn in his sign?

Famous Friday - Nicolas Cage

May 1st, 2009 by Drew

Since weve been looking at the Second House this week, well take a peek at somebody with a couple of planets in that domain. Take a look at Nicks chart.

Venus conjunct Saturn

So, what do we know about Saturn? Well, its said to create restrictions, but it certainly didnt create restrictions for Branson, Lucas, Spielberg, and others (all of whom have Saturn in the Second house (money), but well return to that subject shortly). So, perhaps thats not the best way to look at Saturn. Instead, perhaps we should use a few of the keywords Gauquelin associated with it - cold, conscientious, discreet, and reserved (there are many others, but these will do for now). These were the traits Gauquelin found in people with Saturn close to the angles, but well see if they apply just as well to Saturn in general.

Now, what do we know about Venus? Its supposedly the planet of love, and value. Gauquelin associated these (amongst others) keywords with it - affable, attractive, and charming. So, what happens when cold Saturn appears to be sidling up besides Venus?

Well, it would appear that Nick will have a rather stern attitude toward love. He may be a little aloof when it comes to relationships, and perhaps a little cautious when it comes to projecting his attractive, loving side.

We know the Second is said to be the domain of possessions, so it would appear that Nick values the material aspects of life (Venus), but may also be a little cautious with his money (Saturn).

Jupiter conjunct the IC

Jupiter was at its lowest point when Nick was born. Gauquelin found that more actors and politicians were born when Jupiter was near an angle. On a more basic level, since the IC (the lowest point) is said to represent ones roots, it could be said that Nick had great faith in his upbringing. Jupiter is actually heading into the Third, which could indicate a gift for oratory.

As with George Lucas, Nick appears to find comfort in society (Moon in the Tenth House). Mars in the First indicates a driven person, though its so near the cusp of the Second that its tough to call. Thats the problem with those nebulous houses. Mercury in the First, on a basic level, indicates somebody who is interested in themselves.
