I´m with Bonnie. Would love him to try his hand at writing. That qualifies as a spiritual retreat too, I gues... Whatever makes him happier, and healthier, will be a great choice.
Ditto to that Oom! I do recall Nic mentioning in an interview he might slow down when Kal-El goes to school. He has so many strings to his bow, I can never imagine him without some creative project or two on the go though.
Maybe he'll branch into directing and writing at some point. Or whatever makes him float...he's going to get his own wings remember!
Or maybe he'll go on a spiritual retreat and do something more internal, rather than putting stuff out there...?
Who knows...Just my random musings!

I never wondered about his next projects before. It'll be a big loss if he quits making movies. But if he quits, I won't mind, that's his choice, just hope he'll be happy with what he chooses. As you two - Bonnie and randy - said, he deserves to have a long break.

I'm with you Randy! I'd miss him terribly if he disappeared from the big screen for very long. But I do think he deserves one heck of a very long break from fiming! The man has been working like a robot for years now.
What I would love to see Nic do is write a screenplay or direct again. Twood' give us a peek into his creative mind even more than the acting does.

Hey......today when I checked out the IMDB site, I ran across two things that made me wonder....
First off was.....I noticed that after SORCERER'S APPRENTICE is finished filming, there is only ONE other upcoming projects listed for Nic. This is really a rare thing! Usually he has at least three or four upcoming projects listed. So then I thought....well....mabye he's cleared his schedule for that reported Anwar Sadat project? Or maybe he's doing what he said he would be doing......retiring from making movies once Kal-El starts school?
Second.....I noticed that BAD LIEUTENANT/PORT OF NEW ORLEANS has a release date for December of 2009 in FRANCE. The U.S. isn't listed nor anywhere else. This seems so strange for me but then I thought maybe it will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival or some such thing?
Any thoughts from anyone else?
