Oh My this is so funny! I agree with you all about not liking Tom Cruise! No actor to me. I can not understand how many people do like Tom or even see his films. YUCK! As to Nick he ROCKS and yes he can do anything and make it his way. Love Nick and if he did grow a long beard he will be amazing too. Only Nick can pull that off for sure. It was talked about during the promotion of BOTD. But it never happened. I belive Nic was perfect for the role, and don´t like DiCaprio´s take (sorry Leo!)

And it´s a great idea about the Howard Hughes part, and in fact Nic was one of Scorsese´s first choices for the role but, alas, it went to Leo DiCaprio instead...
BTW.....I always thought Nic could do a fine job playing a deranged Howard Hughes.....so the beard to the waist could work......
