I like your dream randy, it sounds really beautiful to me! I had a Nic dream last night, we were in the back of a taxi trying to get him somewhere ...can't remember where though (maybe the premiere! lol) and I was worrying about the taxi driver, who didn't seem to know how to drive! We approached what looked like a small lake, and deep, and I was thinking he's not going to drive through that is he? And he did...only in dreams hey?!at first I thought this will be ok if he accelerates hard enough, we'll make it across (it seemed logical in dreamworld, lol) but sure enough half way across we started to sink! So Nic and I had to swim back to dry land! I can't remember the rest, but it was all about him getting somewhere on time and probably because I had been thinking about the mystery of the uk Knowing premiere! (and just managing to keep a grip on the topic by my finger nails)!

blood and bloody ashes! i asked for the dream mojo, and i got it. be careful what you wish for ladies. after 2 plus decades of hard core crushing on NC i FINALLY had a dream about him. you might think it just compensation as i got ill and was unable to make it to the theatre, but alas, NOT! i had 2 dreams of him back to back, and was in bed with him in one, but there was no, i repeat, no snogging! we were CHILDREN! and, horror of horrors, we were also siblings. the only way i ended up in bed with him was because the spainish moss on the tree outside my window scared me, and so he let me sleep with him. he's a fab big brother, but so not what i wanted in my "dream" man. NO MORE MOJO FOR ME! rant over. thank you and have a nice day:)

lu, i don't think you're just easily pleased, he really is that good with, in my humble opinion, very few missteps. i do love it when he changes it up and keeps me guessing. but i still have yet to dream of him. i need dream mojo! that's the answer. problem solved:) and b, i shall of course behave as the mistress commands. Good that the reviews are coming up positive. Nic deserves that and more besides.
I agree Bon, he does it all so well, or maybe I'm just easily pleased! For me, his excellence in all versatility is his unique special quality. I do love clever sci fi though, so it's a bit of a thrill to hear him say he is focussing more on that. It is a great tool for escapism, for pushing boundaries for raising awareness of the here and now by presenting alternative realities...that last part is why i enjoy it particularly.

As far as KNOWING, I really did love the movie! What was surprising was that the hub also enjoyed it tremendously as did my teen daughter and her beau. When you get such different viewers and ages enjoying a flick, then that's a good sign that the movie will be a big success.
Earlier, I was cruising the IMDB site to see what other theater goers had to say about the movie and for the most part, the reviews they have posted are very, very positive. There are some detractors, as usual, but each to their own, right?
Oh....and I'm with you...............I love the cerebral Nic. I also love the comedic Nic, the brooding Nic, the hysterical Nic, the 'average Joe' Nic and the NAKED Nic! Yummy.........
Oh Cripes, will someone pass me a bib? I'm drooling just thinking about it...........

Hey all..........I thought I'd give an early report on KNOWING. Personally.........................
I LOVED THIS FLICK!
I have always loved movies that make ya think and also well made Sci-Fi moviea. This one is both!
The hub, myself and my 15 year old daughter and her boyfriend took in the 6:50 show tonight and the movie was packed. In fact, it was so packed that the theater had to ask people to scoot down and fill up all the empty seats so more people could squeeze in. This bodes well for the movie.
Nic.........was in fine form in this movie. He truly gave depth to the character he played and was spot on in every scene. In a pivotal scene in the movie, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. You literally could feel John Koestler's pain. Heck, even my hub was caught wiping away a tear or two!
Anyway, I'm not giving any spoilers away. I just wanted to say this really was a very good movie. There were only two scenes in which I, myself, would have done something differently and one was really miniscule.
All in all, I give this 'two thumbs up'
Oh....and um....ladies...........there is both a 'mirror' scene in the movie AND a "shower" scene....................
Now......THAT.....should make all of you run off to your theater at the earliest convenience! LOL!
