RE: CCM movie set props

Watching this video and 'scrolling' thru the sets, costumes.....immediately brought to mind what a great movie CCM really was.  It was not only true in flavor as to the setting and such but the context of the movie, the war scenes.........immediately brought me to another lifetime.  Made me feel for the characters as if they were the real people who had gone thru such tragedies and wars.

Isn't that what a great movie is supposed to do?

Thanks Mara!   I love it when you go a'sleuthing!

You can see, apart from the incredible movie sets, some lovely behind the scenes pics and the costume tests for both Nic and Penelope. Really interesting vid, thanks so much to BigKingofNY for uploading it, I enjoyed the movie soundtrack too!

Did you know that they had to build the sets in Kefalonia to recreate how it looked in the past because the earthquake of the forties destroyed most of the buildings and took their historic heritage away? And that the island had a very peculiar look because it had been invaded by the Venetians in medieval times, and therefore the historic buildings were meant to look "Venetian" in style?

It´s an incredible place that I´d like to visit soon... reminds me so much of my own Mediterranean island, Mallorca!
