Yeah, the irony: that way the distressing tale has a sweet touch to it...

Very true Tracy!  Children have such open, loving, generous hearts.  I bet they actually made Nic's day when they ran over to him!

I think we're all in agreement that Nic... well... hasn't been looking and perhaps feeling his best as of late... Only god knows why...

But, how sincere were those children to have wanted to help a man whom they thought were in dire distress and/or need.  I think that's very cool smile.

Actually....this blurb distresses me.  Nic had to look pretty down and out for kids to mistake him for a man who needed a hand out.............

Then again, I have heard he likes to go out 'incognito' so maybe it was just a disguise he was using on that particular day that was so dang good the schoolkids fell for it?

I can't believe I missed this news article! Apparently Nic went to a Starbucks in Bath(around two weeks ago?) to get himself a caffeine buzz and while he was there filming was going on for a local tv show. Some school children showed up and asked who they were filming. The crew told them that they were filming a man who was supposed to live for days without ANYTHING for two weeks. The children went inside and thought is was Nic and offered him money!!!!  Here's the article!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mandrake/4143400/Nicolas-Cage-receives-charity-from-children.html

Although reputedly worth £22.5 million, Nicolas Cage found himself surrounded by schoolchildren who wanted to give him money.

A film crew for Tonight with Trevor McDonald were in Bath, filming a reporter who had been asked to live for nothing for two weeks. Schoolchildren asked the crew at the local Starbucks if they were filming anyone famous. They said that their reporter was inside trying to get a free coffee.

Cage, who lives near the city, was also there. "You poor man," the children told
him. "Have some money..."
