Another mouthwatering masterpiece!

Now....I have a challenge for ya Piegirl.........and for anyone else with suggestions for our Pie making Nicster......

glad you like it!. yes i really call it lula loves sailor. once a week i experiment with something new. i name it and write the name on our plate glass windows, but don't say what it is. if you ask, then you get to try a sample and tell me whether to keep or burn the recipe. i had a shocking number of people recognize the reference this time. lots of closet-holics out there, many shockingly young. (kinda cute, they wonder how an old gal like me knows about nic ;).  buy the way, your pie was a keeper.

lula,
turned out beautiful. here it is:
crust
caramel custard filled with chopped macadamias, walnuts, and pecans
top the whole thing with dark chocolate shavings
and, of course toffee sprinkles
since i only do handmade the sprinkles were the hardest part. very brittle and difficult to shape and size. i'll let you know what the public says.
next up...oom's pie. savory, not sweet;)

Great name piegirl and certainly true! Lula and Sailor are pretty richly textured, flamboyant and sexy, so the pie has gotta be the same! You can do it piegirl! I'm sure it'll be mouth watering!biggrin.gif

Damn!  That DOES sound good!   And just in time for Valentine's Day....I mean, it fits right in with the colors and decadent flavors.  

Man....serve that baby up with some Champagne and you'd have a man eating out of your hands, maybe even have one willing to suck your toes!  LOL!

BTW.......I love the name you gave it Piegirl....it has a sort of ring to it....

dearest pita,
u r a genius! i finished messing around with your pie. it FLEW off the racks! i named it pita's devotion. here it is:
traditional crust
dense dark chocolate cheesecake with chunks of almonds and fresh berries
a layer of almond mousse
a layer of raspberry infused fresh whipped cream
topped with toasted almond slices and fresh berries
my regulars are now asking for pita's pie :)
too bad for them, not gonna happen on a large scale
now on to lula's request... i only make pies so i'm gonna have to translate hers from a cake somehow. good thing i love a challange hee-hee

But for now I'm going to say Johnny Blaze....I'm unfortunately drawn to the tortured soul with big secrets, a big heart, self destructive tendencies and a mission....oh and a flaming skull! And his leathered long legged lusciousness don't hurt either!biggrin.gif
