Well, I ll take it into consideration. My journey will be short lasting, only one day stay for meeting with one important person from CLINICO SAN CARLOS Hospital, then I will continue to London. Unfortunatelly I will do not have enough free time, cause I will travel with my chief, so I have to be focused on work. But next time (I travel a lot/ I can arrange the trip to be more free and probably meet you. But I would not be annoying, what if this meeting will dissapoint you?LOL.
it´s funny you talk about evacuating the airport, because... well for your information, our Madrid Barajas airport has been in chaos and anarchy these days because of a pilot´s strike and some other stuff (the unexpected heavy snowstorm of the other day called for quick measures to be taken, but the authorities were v-e-r-y s-l-o-w to react so... thousands were trapped with their flights being cancelled until further notice... which has lasted for some 3 days to arrive).
So I only wish you don´t fly here today, because sadly your expectations won´t be met... Hopefully the situation will get back to normal by tomorrow or tomorrow past and you will leave under the impression that we´ve got a very modern airport, LOL!!
Aaah, the joys of living in my country are countless... including that our strikes are the greatest show on earth!!!

Not to burst your bubble, but... the Euro currency may be strong, or rather was, but the actual bills and coins are another story... they´s so poorly made that after some months they will literally crumble in your hands LOL.
Anyhoo... I read you´re coming to Madrid soon?? What a treat! I´ll send you a PM with my contact info... I hope you´re lucky dear, we´re having big trouble with an ongoing pilot´s strike and the Barajas Airport is short of chaos these days...
Jenn funny story,but I coins collecter,so all thus coins I have in my collectio and can agree with you that they very funny,they small and picture of part where don't write numeral is avers of coin is not same,if you take two coins by 2 euros you can see it!Mau be it will be the same but actually is not same?

To explain the coins - we have now: paper money - 20, 10, 5 EURO -- it is more then one dollar maybe 1,3 dollars? and then we have coins 2,1, EUROS 50, 20, 10, 5, cents - maybe something like pennies, but this is new for us, so we have to learn how to use it.
I'm curious Jenn................what is the new COIN system for the EURO? You said you need to get used to all the crazy coins. In America, we mostly use pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters. But we do have half dollars and coin dollars but they are rarely sceen. Plus, we have our paper money in different denominations. Just curious.....
BTW, I did see your family pics! You have a lovely family and are a beautiful woman!

Well, around the sharring of my pics and Happy New year wishes I forgot to tell you - form the january the 1st we have a new currency - EURO was succesfully introduced into the Slovak region- We are still litle bit confused fromall of these coins, but we are just learnin how to pay with these crazy small coins. But I see also a benefits of this change - when I was booking my airplane ticket to Madrid I paid with euros: WAW.
