Hi Steve, welcome to the forum! I think I heard John Turtletaub say something about Hans in the audio commentary of the NT2 DVD, but for the life of me I canīt remember what... sorry I canīt be of much help here.

Years ago we discussed the bit about Hans being in both movies. It's too obvious to be a 'coincidence' but it sure could be a 'wink' of some sort, meaning, maybe Nic thought it would be a cool 'shout out' to someone and intentionally had both scenes filmed the way they were. It is said that Nic is a clever guy, so why not?
As to the Beige Volvo's.....again....maybe it means something to Nic himself.

Does anyone know the significance of Hans Georg Struhar to Nicolas Cage? Hans Is in Both The Rock, And National Treasure 2. In the Rock, He has his Black HUMVEE stolen by Sean Connery for a high speed chase. In National Treasure 2, He has his Black Range Rover stolen by Ed Harris and his Henchmen for a high speed chase. Coincidence?
