I agree....it was a very good performance by Nic although the subject matter was touchy. Enrico really didn't give a damn about anyone but himself and he was hell bent on driving himself insane out of fear of having caught a disease not out of guilt for having raped a woman.

This almost unknown movie was very interesting... Nic played an Italian soldier who felt more fear than sorrow for having raped a young girl in Ethiopia... His guilt made him paranoid though, and he became an outcast until he found redemption by mere chance... Very good performance of an unlikeable character IMHO.
