And it's nice to hear we're gonna get 'Plenty of Nic'......I mean....let's face it.....the folks that hang around here can't seem to get enough of the guy....
And now I'm thinking....instead of "Good and Plenty"......"Plenty of Nic"....
God....this grasshopper mind of mine has a screw loose in it somewhere...lol!

I wonder if he read our questions ladies? In an interview Turteltaub has shed some more light on The Sorceror's Apprentice, which starts shooting on March 8th!
"you're gonna get plenty of Nic!"
Enough said!
Now, he's promising broomsticks...... but no mention of magic wands...
Hey he could even wear his gold caduceus necklace and be very much in role! I'd love it to be an alchemical exploration, alchemy being misunderstood as it is, I do think they will keep it light hearted and family oriented, and not go too deep into magic, keep it playful?

Lula, I'm with Mara on what she said about your description of Nic (and the Sorcerer's Apprentice). Somehow I can see Nic just as you....dabbling out of curiousity.
Also.....Nic playing the Wizard reminds me very much of the TV show Nic's production company put out for awhile that sadly didn't make the ratings....THE DRESDEN FILES. I LOVED that show and was so dismayed to see it went off the air.
Something tells me that Nic might be THAT kind of wizard.......

Thanks for missing me guys... Some family affairs were holding me.
Lula, your take on the sorcerer as an alchemist sounds very much like Nicīs alley... Maybe heīs go for that look? The apparently regular Joe whoīs got a magical second nature? That would be pretty cool!
It's good to be hearing more about this film, I'm particularly into this one probably because of the magic and fantasy elements...I wonder how the story will play out now that there is a love interest for the Sorceror's Apprentice?!
I just can't wait to see Nic as a Sorceror, I wonder where he will go with that?!
Will it be your stereotypical traditional kind with a pointy hat and whispy beard? Or a regular guy who just so happens to be into magic as most modern magicians are? (not talking about the abracadabra kind, who pull bunnies out of hats!)
I hope he goes down the route of alchemy... Working with the elements and alchemical symbols! I could imagine Nic himself being a bit of an alchemist, working with the energies, don't know why I think that!

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Australian actress Teresa Palmer, currently in theaters with "Bedtime Stories," will join Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel in Disney's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."
Taking its cues from the classic Mickey Mouse cartoon that was inspired by a Goethe poem, the live-action feature centers on an apprentice (Baruchel) who is left to tend to a magic workshop when his sorcerer master (Cage) leaves it in his hands. The apprentice gets a broomstick to do his chores for him, but things get out of control when the broom develops a mind of its own.
Palmer is playing Baruchel's love interest.
The film will be directed by Jon Turtletaub, who previously worked with Cage on the hit "National Treasure" movies.
Palmer starred in "December Boys" opposite Daniel Radcliffe, and will appear in the upcoming comedy "Kids in America" opposite Topher Grace.
