RE: Have you been to???

Thanks ladies for the info on Vienna and Salzberg.   It will a dream come true (as Mara said) if I ever get to visit such incredible places....but one day....one day.....right?   No harm in dreaming of such things, is there?  Thanks again!

Well Salzburg is a baroque Italian looking city in the Alps... But Paris is much bigger and has many more architecture styles to choose from. Both places are like a dream come true.

I've heard that Salzberg and Paris are similar in ways, is that true?  Because when I was in Paris, I felt like I had lived there before....it seemed so familiar to me.  I loved the place and can't wait to go back.

Salzburg is among the prettiest cities I´ve ever been in. And the museums in your first pic are among my faves too Jenny... Seems like EVERYTHING is inside this place right?

Thanks Jenny for the information and pics.  Vienna looks beautiful from what I can see of your pics.  I simply love the architecture you find in such old cities.  Thanks for sharing!

Hi Bonnie,

I have been in Viena several times. My country is close to Austria and our capitols - Viena for Austria and Bratislava for Slovakia are about 50 km in distance. A lot of Slovak inhabitans are visiting Viena for shopping, culture, trips and so on. I have just to tell you that Viena is beautiful place. The architecture, especiall the old buildings are similar to general european architecture from past centuries. The queen Maria Teresia had been living there many year ago, and also other members of the royal family - the most famous was the SISI - Ronny Schneider was playing her in a number of movies.
I try to attache some pics of my fav Viena places.

I hope If NIC and Alice will visit Viena, they both will enjoy it. Maybe Nic could by a new property there. LOL

Hey.....I was thinking this morning of how I have heard Austria is an exquisitely beautiful place and I was wondering if anyone here has ever been to Salzburg or Vienna?   My in-laws lived there for five years when they were first married and I've heard what it was like back then (50+ years).  I'm wondering what it is like now?

The closest I've ever gotten to such a place was when I visited Brussels and stayed in the Grand Platz and/or when I visited Paris in 2000.

Anyhooo...the pic I've attached is of the Grand Platz.  And no.....the picture isn't mine, it's one I found googling.  My pics are stored somewhere in the basement!  LOL!  Are there parts of Austria that are similar in style?

OH...and has anyone ever been to Switzerland?  I've always wanted to visit the Lake Lucerne area.  Can you tell I have wanderlust in my veins?  LOL!

Thanks guys....
